Reshaping Justice: Shifting Power in Prisons Through Legal Education
This webinar explored how access to legal education and justice tools inside prison systems can protect human dignity and transform communities. By spotlighting Justice Defenders’ model of training incarcerated people and prison staff as paralegals and lawyers, panelists Hamisi Mzari and Isaac Ndegwa, demonstrated how legal empowerment strengthens communities facing marginalization and injustice. Participants were invited to reflect on what social reform looks like in their own communities and what practical steps they can take to support human rights efforts where they live.
