Prof. Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed, Professor Emeritus at Stockholm University, was born in Lahore on 24 February 1947. He holds a PhD in Political Science from Stockholm University, where he was a faculty member in the Department of Political Science from 1987 to 2010. He is also an Honorary Senior Fellow at the Institute of South Asian Studies, National University of Singapore, where was Senior Research Professor, 2007-10.
